Funding Statistics

The Jain Foundation has increased its level of research funding since its endowment on September 1, 2005. Our total research funding for 2010 was $1,441,130 and our total cumulative funding is over $7,000,000.

The first chart below shows the total amounts spent on scientific research projects (basic research, translational research, and diagnostics) from 2005 through 2010. To illustrate the scope of our research support, the second chart shows the average, maximum, and minimum funds awarded to individual projects. Finally, the third chart shows the total amounts spent on generating new research tools (e.g. cDNA constructs, cell lines) for the dysferlin community from 2005 through 2010. These figures do not include foundation operating expenses (including personnel) or expenses associated with the annual Dysferlin Conference.
